Happy Saturday! 🙂
New years eve couldn’t get here fast enough for me this year. To be honest, this year was the hardest year of my life. With school- life was good. With friends- life was good. With work- life was good. However with family- my world turned upside down. And family is the core of my whole life.
In August this year, four tragic events happened in my family that no one could really prepare themselves for. In October an event even more tragic happened that leaves me awake at night still thinking about. In November I had to end a 2 year relationship with my ex boyfriend, which created unnecessary drama. And to end off the year, in December my dad had what seemed like a heart attack. Everyone has that one year that they will remember being the worst year of their life. I’m glad I got mine over with.
I’ve realized over the years, I wait around for good things to happen to me. Whether thats waiting for a job I applied to, to call back and let me know I got the job or whether thats as simple as waiting for the cute guy across the room to approach me and start a conversation. Not this year. This year I will keep being the strong one in my family and MAKE sure everyone is happy. I will be the fun one in my group of friends that will MAKE sure everyone is always happy. I will be the go-getter at work and with my internships that will MAKE sure I gain experience and have success. And I will be the good student that will MAKE sure I get good grades.
This year was horrible, but I’m glad it happened because I learned more this year than most years. My new years resolution? To be the BEST person I can possibly be in every way. And I’m the type of person that always completes a new years resolution, I never break promises even if they are to myself.

Happy New Year Everyone!
